Preparations are underway ...

Early next month we'll head to Chicago for our first event. We've been gearing up with projectors, PA systems, and stage backdrops to provide a consistent level of quality for all of our events. We're packing a car full of equipment and traveling from city to city to make these events happen. To put it in perspective the first leg is ~2,480 miles ... and that’s the short one.

The speaker line-up and talks for Chicago are nearly finalized.

Scott Werner - CEO & Founder, Sublayer

Scott brings 16+ years of Ruby experience and leads the charge in AI agent frameworks. As organizer of Artificial Ruby in New York, he's championing the spirit of experimentation and play that makes Ruby special in the AI era.

Coraline Ada Ehmke - Tech Ethicist & Software Engineer

A powerful voice for equity and justice in technology. When she's not working to change the tech world, Coraline creates experiential music in her home studio. Her perspective on making tech more inclusive is essential listening.

Peter Bhat Harkins - Lifelong Chicagoan & Ruby Veteran

With 25 years in Ruby web development for startups, Peter runs the programming forum Lobsters and is launching Recheck as a worker-owned cooperative. A local voice with deep insights into bootstrapping and community building.

Aji Slater - Former Circus Clown Turned Ruby Developer

Ten years of Ruby experience spanning healthcare standards, government modernization, and open-source maintenance. Aji brings a unique artistic sensibility to technical problem-solving (and probably isn't Banksy).

We could still use a city and/or event sponsor in Chicago.

The whole reason to do this is to provide a reason to gather in-person with people from an area. In an era where everything is on-line there’s something powerful about putting on your shoes and coming out to support. Join us in Chicago, Atlanta, and/or New Orleans.

Can’t make it in-person? Spread the word via our promo-kit or help make this round successful by being a firestarter.
